The staffs are friendly.
Always friendly and happy to help. Good access throughout the building. Doctors willing to listen and treat you with respect.
Unless I am given a very early appointment I usually have to wait beyond my given time, ten to thirty minutes the longest nearly a hour, but I appreciate that the doctor cannot say to whoever they are treating "Sorry times up I' got someone else to see now" and so over running will be a fact of life and it does not appear to affect the time that the doctor devotes to me.
The only weak point at this surgery is the receptionists, called the day before for some advice but the receptionist just did not want to know or even want to offer any alternatives i.e.: NHS walk in centre if they thought you needed to see someone sooner, but no, they never even asked what the problem was.
Charm school would not be a bad idea for the receptionists.
Sort them out & patients would probably be more understanding.
I believe that the high levels of care at Pitsmoor Surgery are a result of solid teamwork from all at the practice, in particular the Reception team who can make or break a patients experience. Today was no exception. I have been a patient since 1986 and have seen the practice grow & improve in all aspects of care & clinical expertise. It can sometimes be difficult to see a "usual doctor" but given that the doctors work as a team and keep good records, such times become more of a personal preference rather than a clinical necessity.
Everybody is valued & equal & given the massive demands on all of the team I think they are all a credit to the NHS.
